I taught Jeff at Charlottesville High School in his junior year. He was an excellent student and an extremely nice person.
My condolences to his family.

To the Mawyer family, I´m sorry for your loss. I taught Jeff drafting for a couple years at CHS. He was a very pleasant young man and truly enjoyed the opportunity to teach Jeff. He was an excellent student and had a great sense of humor. He will be definitely missed by all that have known him. Rick Peters - retired teacher 2015 CHS

Sending our thoughts and prayers to you all-We are sadden to hear of Jeffry's passing. He was an incredible young man that accomplished many things in his short life on this earth. He is now walking along with our Savior Jesus Christ to follow a new path before him. Hold on to those special memories you have close to your hearts.

Margaret, Kim, Joan, Jimmy, Page and the rest of Jeff's family, I am sorry for your loss. I enjoyed umpiring behind Jeff during his little league days and it was my honor to coach Jeff for three seasons of Junior Babe Ruth ball. Over 2 decades of coaching, the Mawyer family was one of my favorites. Always supportive of Jeff and his team and always offering to help in any way. Jeff was a very good player, but I found him to be an even better person. I know he will be missed. Much too soon.
