John Albert Brown-Jackson
February 15, 1957 - July 10, 2021
John Albert Brown-Jackson (aka), "Johnny" 64, of Charlottesville, Virginia., peacefully departed this life, surrounded by family, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at UVA Medical Center.
John was born on February 15, 1957, to the late Minor Lee Jackson and Dorothy M. Brown Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Minor L. Jackson, Ronnie Leon Jackson, and Gail Elizabeth Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Darlene Brown of Charlottesville, Va; two daughters, Tonya M. Key and Cassie Jackson of Charlottesville, Va.; four grandchildren, Onaja Bolden, Lemeel Scottt, Dakari Pleasants, and CaSira Jackson, all of Charlottesville, Va.; two sisters, Brenda Deane and her husband, Jerry, of Keswick, Va., and Victoria L. Jackson of Charlottesville, Va.; two aunts, Virginia Gray of Charlottesville, Va., and Barbara Jackson of Esmont, Va.; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and friends.
Johnny was a carpenter by trade and could build anything that he put his mind to. He was such a unique person with a great sense of humor. He loved listening to his old music while he prepared his fancy meals on Saturday evenings. He was truly a person who wanted to have fun and loved to dance. Johnny will be dearly missed.
A viewing will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. at J. F. Bell Funeral Home Chapel.
