Kenneth Edward Sinarski
November 7, 1946 - January 10, 2021
Kenneth Edward Sinarski, 74, of Charlottesville, Va., passed away on January 10, 2021, peacefully in his home with his beloved wife, Ann, by his side.
Ken was born on November 7, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Stanley Sinarski and Jean Antoinette Futera, and his sister, Karen Marie Fluty.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ann Cooper Sinarski; son, Matthew Sinarski and his wife, Jessica, and their children, Cooper, Charlie, and Asher; and daughter, Julie Sinarski Stern, her husband, Benjamin, and their children, Jack and Madison.
Ken was a funny, patient, dedicated father, husband and friend that loved a great meal, playing strategy games, and taking a bike ride on Kiawah Island.
Ken was born with a rare heart condition and received one of the first pediatric open-heart surgeries in America. Living on the edge of technology, he was truly our bionic man.
Ken graduated from Ohio University and received his Masters from Cleveland State. In the fall of 1978, his family moved to Charlottesville, where he oversaw Accounting Operations and other areas of the UVA Finance department for 36 years.
Special thank you to Dr. Bergin and his staff at the Heart and Vascular Center, and to Dr. MacKnight and his staff for their wonderful care and support over the years.
Due to the pandemic, the family will have a private ceremony at the UVA Columbarium at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at
stjude.org, or a
charity of your choice in his memory.
