Spencer Sebrell Liddle, 60, of Charlottesville, died peacefully of a heart attack, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at home. Born on October 24, 1957, in Fredericksburg, Va., he was the son of Dr. William "Bill" and Betty Liddle (now Sherman). He was preceded in death by Dr. Liddle, and many friends who thought he'd go first. Known for his Texas accent, Stetson Hat, and larger than life personality, he was an electrician, artist and mechanic who could fix anything. He often bosted, "I broke my right leg in 11 places, twice, and half the bones in my body." He knew no strangers. He made us laugh. Seemingly invincible, we knew he'd go suddenly. He is survived by his fianc?e, Patricia Ann (Patsy) Goolsby; mother, Betty Sherman; brother, Dyer Liddle; sister, Margaret Upton; son, Randy Miller; daughter, Freedom Miller; grandchildren, Turquoise Dean, Sapphire Miller, Obsidian Rodrequez, Zachary Mills, and Tyler Aleshire; and friends. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Paul's Memorial Church, University Avenue, Charlottesville, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI Blue Ridge Charlottesville, 500 Old Lynchburg Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22901. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hillandwood.com.
