John Junior Marks, 49, of Crozet, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born on June 23, 1968, to Nelson Junior Marks and Nancy Ann Graves Marks Garrison. He was married to Michele Thompson Marks. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jacob and John Robert Marks. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Keith Marks of Crozet, and Brad Marks of Orange; his daughters, Jessica Marks Sims of Ruckersville, Regina Marks of Crozet, Karli Marks of Tipton, Ind., and Madison Marks of Crozet; and his son, Nicholas Thompson. There are many extended family members and friends to cherish his memory. John was fond of traveling, and he had a great love of good food. He enjoyed making it almost as he loved eating it. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was cooking out or just hanging around the house. A funeral service will be held at Hebron Baptist Church in Afton on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. John's family would like to thank the staff of UVA Medical Center, Fourth Floor for showing their caring and kindness during his stay.
