Robert Allen Moneymaker of Ruckersville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born on September 24,1951, to the late Walter and Helen Moneymaker. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Moneymaker; his sister, Martha Hess; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Buddy Powell; his brothers-in-law, E.J. Snow and James Snow; and his sisters-in-law, Hazel Snow and Gwenda Snow. Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maxine Seale Moneymaker; sisters-in-law, Linda Marshall and Faye Runkle and husband, J.B.; brothers-in-law, Elvin Snow, Earl Snow, Lonnie Snow, Larry Snow, and Ronald Marshall; nephews, B.G. Powell and fiancee', Mariah, Israel Chartrand, Beaver Runkle and wife, Heather, Buck Runkle, Randy Snow and his significant other, Paige, Mike Snow and wife, Jessica, and Kevin Snow and his significant other, Maggie; nieces, Theresa Powell-McDaniel and husband, Matthew, Tammy Snow, and Jessica Marshall; great-nephews, Lance, Krystiaan, Bud, Kaleb, William, and Jason; and great-nieces, Emily, Breanna, Autumn, Alyssa, Summer, and Emma. Robert was a devoted husband, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time with his family and was especially fond of his nieces and nephews, as if they were his own children and grandchildren. They all were his pride and joy. Robert loved to joke around all of the time with anyone and everyone that he came across. He never seemed to meet a stranger. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. The family would like to send special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont for taking such wonderful care of Robert during his stay there. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church in Barboursville, with Pastor David Wallace officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to "In memory of Robert Moneymaker" GoFundMe account.
