Ruby Goodman Walker

1931 - 2023

Charlottesville Circuit Court's long time Deputy Clerk has died on December 13, 2023 in Charlottesville, Va., at age 92. She served the clerks office for 38 years and was primarily in charge of the Probate Department among her many other knowledgeable duties.

She was born September 3, 1931 in Charlottesville, Va. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Francis Walker, who died June 17, 2010, and also by her parents, William Robert Goodman and Thelma Morris Goodman.

She is survived by her son, Steven Earl Walker and his friend, Esther Bausserman. By a grandson, Christopher Earl Walker, his wife Sarah and their three adorable children, Tristan, Trinity, and Trenton. Her two sisters, Betty Goodman White and her husband, Clarence White of Keswick, and Barbara Goodman Fitzgerald and her husband, Randy Fitzgerald of Richmond, Va. Two sisters-in-law, Myra Lee Sandridge and Ruth Walker.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery in Cismont, Va.

Arrangements are being made by Preddy's Funeral Home in Gordonsville, Va.
