Samantha Raye Brackett
Samantha Raye Brackett, 22, of Crozet, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010.
She leaves behind the joy of her life, her son, Houston Lee Marsh; and his father, Jonathan Marsh; her mother, Nena Brackett and Spanky Harris; her brother, Taylor Hensley; her father, Larry Brackett; and a large family of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend John Hannan officiating. Interment will follow at Rockgate Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Teague Funeral Home.

Nena,Spanky ,Samantha's Dad,Houston and Houston's Father and his Family.
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your precious Samantha personally, but heard of your loss from Betsy. I heard the pain in her sharing and can only imagine the extreme sadness you are experiencing right now. We are praying for you and asking that God comfort and hold you close as he keeps you. Each day is difficult for all that loved her. No one knows why such untimeliness of Samantha's leaving, but, our Heavenly Father says "lean not to our own understanding". Nena, Spanky and Samatha's Father though we don't know what it is to lose a child, and understand it's like no other loss. We do know that the incurable ache of the heart and those uncontrollable tears of sadness and pain are what makes us human. God knows we need comfort for that intense hurt when we lose those that are so dear to our hearts.
It's difficult not understanding "why". God sent his loving Angels for that special and precious little girl he gave you 22 years ago. Just know that he knew what she needed. He wants you to know that he has her in his hands and she will be free from all the harms of the world.
God sent Jesus to share with us that he would go to his Father's house and prepare a place for us. He said he had a mansion with many rooms. I know Samantha is experiencing her heavenly Father in his mansion. Her Heavenly Father knows your pain, he said he will send a comforter and we are asking that he sends that comforter as you all need your comforter.
He knows you will care for the joy of Samantha's life Houston like he is your own. We are praying that God will give you what you need to care for that "little precious one" as he helps you and his Father as well as that village you need as he grows.
We pray for the comfort you need daily to get you through each hour and each day. He is always with you and he has Samantha with him.. He will give you what you need to get through, call on him from minute to minute, hour to hour and daily as you need him. He will be there for you all. He loves you all, and he cares for you always.
We don't and can't always know his reason or understand his ways, but I can tell you he knows all and will be there when we call.
God's Comfort in this ever so difficult and trying time.

I am very saddened by you loss I remember coming over your house with Hope and us laughing and joking after school and just having fun! what hurts worse is that I saw you a day before and you had the biggest smile on your face that smile will never be forgotten you are now an angel in heaven watching over your friends and family and I know you can now rest in peace and be in the arms of the lord. Sam, your a beautiful angel. I can not belive this. we were never the best of friends but your going to be truely missed i can tell that. May god bless your son and keep him in good health.
