Steven Mark Richmond

Steven Mark Richmond, 64, of Charlottesville, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born on March 15, 1958, in Livermore, Calif., he was the son of Clyde A. Richmond and Annette A. Richmond. He was preceded in death by his father.

Steve attended the Faith Baptist Church in Charlottesville. He was an avid sports fan. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved and supported the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina football and basketball. He was on several pool leagues over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Annette of Charlottesville; sisters, Karen (Eddie) Bruce of Stuarts Draft, Lynne (David) Hite of Fishersville, Jennifer Moore of England, and Sandra Lawrence of England; a brother, Andy (Shirley) Lawrence of England; stepsister, Theresa Krueger of Indiana; stepbrothers, Dodd (Tami) Morris of Michigan and Daniel (Terri) of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a very special mother-in-law, Nancy Sprouse and father-in-law, Jimmie Sprouse. Steve also had very special friends, Timmy Quick of Waynesboro, and Robert (Ang) of Texas whom he spoke with almost daily.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, officiated by Pastor G. Raye Jones at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
