Walker Eugene Obituary

Lawrence Eugene Walker Jr., better known as "Butch", of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was born on April 20, 1949, to the late Lawrence Walker Sr. and Constance Ashton Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his sister, Virginia Walker Johnson.Butch worked in construction for many years and especially enjoyed playing horseshoes with his family and friends and watching old Western movies.Butch was survived by; his two sons and one daughter, Anthony Walker and his wife, Denise, of Fairfax, Va., George Walker of Virginia Beach and Danielle Walker of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his former wife, and friend, Joan Butler Walker of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Thelma Ashton and Mary Frances Walker, both of Charlottesville, Va.; one brother, James Walker and his wife, Linda; an aunt, Christine Cooper of Somerset, Pa.; two lifelong buddies, David Pendleton and Michael Parham; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.A time of gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church, Keswick, Va."Butch", Pop, Daddy, Granddad, Brother, Uncle, Friend…Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.J.
