Albert Houston Obituary
Franklin Park
Albert "Sam" Joseph Houston, Jr., passed away at Lyons VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ on August 30, 2013. Born in Quincy, FL. He was a resident of Piscataway formerly of Easton PA for 15 years prior to relocating to Franklin Park, NJ 3 years ago. He was a member of the Union AME Church in Easton PA where he served as a steward and was a former member of Community Church of God in Plainfield for 30 years serving as a Deacon, on the Men's Choir and Youth ministries. Mr. Houston was employed as a US Postal Worker in Morristown and Whippany for 37 years prior to retirement and a Lyon's VA Nurses Assistant. A veteran of the US Navy, He loved football and baseball.
Predeceased by his parents Albert Sr. and Ada Houston, he is survived by his wife Betty Houston, daughters Sheila D. Houston, Delphine Lewis, grandsons Kevin & Ryan Lewis, brother William D. Houston (Elizabeth)
Funeral services will be held Saturday 11am at the Community Church of God 417 West 6th St., Plainfield Visitation will be held Saturday 9-11AM at the church. Arrangements by Judkins www.judkinscolonialhome.com

My condolences to the Houston family,
I did not know Sam personally , but I will have the pleasure of meeting him someday in heaven. I thank God for Sam with being involved in planting seeds for those who did not know christ. We morn the the loss of those who leave this earth but it is a great celebration for those who experience the greatest miracle ever in knowing Christ.
