Andrew Wilson Obituary
Hackettstown
Andrew Phillips Wilson passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at his home in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Andy was an avid golfer and spent ten years employed at Mendham Golf and Tennis Club in Mendham, New Jersey. Previously he was a substance abuse counselor in Morristown. He was born in 1948 and raised in Morristown, New Jersey and relocated to his present home in Hackettstown in 2009. His dream was fulfilled when he purchased his own home and acquired three German Shorthair Pointers that were the love of his life. Prior to his move to Hackettstown he spent several years as a dedicated care provider for his mother, Edna Wilson, during her elder years and the two years she spent in the hospital. Andy attended Morristown-Beard School in Morristown and graduated in 1966.
He is survived by a sister, Sue Wilson Officer, in Pasadena, CA; a nephew, Shawn Wilson of Lincolndale, NY; a cousin, Linda Young of Moorestown, NJ, and a niece, Kim Falconer of Pasadena, CA. He will be dearly missed by those he left behind. God speed Andy.
No services will be held. Those who wish to show their respects may do so by donating in Andrew's name to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, 501 E. Ojai Ave., Ojai, CA 93023 or Common Sense for Animals, P.O. Box 589, Broadway, New Jersey, 08808.

Andy was a mentor to me when I started in this field and taught me so much. He was a kind and decent man who loved deeply. I always looked forward to his Christmas cards and sweet sentiments. I will miss him.

This was such a shock to us. We were the realtors who helped Andy move from Morristown to Hackettstown and often saw and talked to him about his beloved dogs. He was a good person who will be missed by all those who knew him.
