Catherine Korman Obituary
AGE: 93 • Succasunna
Catherine F. Korman, 93, of Succasunna, NJ passed away December 28, 2014 at Morris View Healthcare Center in Morristown. Born in Jersey City to her parents, William Kincaid French and Catherine French, Cathy moved to Lincoln Park as a child and graduated from Boonton High School in 1937. Co-founder of Trukmann's Inc. in Morristown in 1955, she also worked as a senior buyer for Transistor Devices in Cedar Knolls and Dover for over 20 years before retiring in 1990. An avid NY Football Giant fan and original season ticket holder, Cathy became a member of the Giant Season Ticket Holder Hall of Fame in 2013. Cathy had a lifelong passion for reading and after her retirement worked as a volunteer at the Roxbury library.
She was predeceased by her brothers William K. French Jr. and Edward J. French. Loving mother of her late son Nicolas her surviving sons, Frederick Korman Jr. of Netcong, Paul Korman and his wife, Cindi of Mendham and William Korman of Hackettstown; grandsons, Douglas, Brad, Ryan and Matthew, granddaughters Paula, Marie, Kristy, Elizabeth and Jennifer; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation followed by a celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Saturday, January 3rd at King of Kings Worship Center, 219 Mt. Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ

I still miss you "Mom" & the lovely time I worked for you & your family. I felt like I had a family. I still miss your boys too. I regret not keeping in contact with them. I'm thankful you & I were still able to friends.

I will always remember you at TDI in the early 70's. We ladies NEVER wore pants to work. You were always SO AHEAD of your time and taught me so much about women's rights. One day you came to work in a PANTS SUIT, new for that time. I thought you were SO BOLD. I said 'What if Mr. Blake says something?' You replied with all your courage and wit 'I'll just TAKE MY PANTS OFF!!!!' We ROARED!!!! And you KEPT YOUR PANTS ON & so began the NEW WAVE of women wearing pants to work. I will NEVER forget you, Dearest Kathy.... Danielle....Dani....xxx
