Dorothy C. Souchack

AGE: 86 • Newton

Dorothy C. Souchack, 86, of Newton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at Bristol Glenn, Newton. Dorothy was born in Elizabeth and was a resident of Randolph for almost 50 years prior to moving to Bristol Glenn in 2012. She graduated from Battin High School, Elizabeth. She worked as a Periodical Librarian at County College of Morris, Randolph, and retired in 1998 after 20 years. She was an avid reader and loved to play mahjong, she was a member of the U.S. Mahjong League, and a former member of the Red Hat Ladies. She was a volunteer at St. Therese School where she helped setup their library and also volunteered at the Randolph Public Library for a number of years. A special thank you to the staff at Bristol Glenn, the care she received was warm and loving.

Survived by her two children, Marianne Allen and her husband Bob of Ogdensburg and John and his wife Christine of Scarsdale, NY; four grandchildren, Bob, Emily Mamer and her husband Spencer, Holly and Justine. Predeceased by her husband, Andrew in 2005 and her brother, John Peter Grabowiecki in 2001.

Visitation Thursday, September 4th, 2014, 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday, September 5th, 2014, 9:00 -11:00 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to the Bristol Glenn Fellowship Fund, 100 Bristol Glenn Drive, Newton,, NJ 07860 or the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 350 Sparta Ave., Bldg. B, Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871.
