Chester - Ella Lucille Arkie, 76, beloved Mother and caregiver.

Ella Lucille Arkie passed on Tuesday, August 10, after a long illness. She was 76.

Ella resided in Chester and worked primarily as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled until she was unable to continue her passion of helping others. A highly skilled holistic homeopathic advisor who successfully battled her own cancer in 1992. She went on to enjoy another 30 years of helping and inspiring others. She would often say how truly blessed she was and would always look for opportunities to serve and help others in need, a friend among friends.

A life-long resident of Morris County, she was the youngest of six children born to Alfred & Doris Hubert and is survived only by her sister Janet Stanaback of East Bangor PA. Ella was born in Mine Hill, resided and raised her family in the Rockaways and recently retired in Chester. She was the widow of Robert Arkie and is survived by her 3 children: Edward (Buddy) Black and his wife Stephanie of Stafford VA, Kathleen (Kathy) Viceconte and her husband Peter of Hillsdale NJ, and Michael (Mickey) Black and his wife Heather of Pittsburgh PA. Additionally she is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Ella took care of Doretta's Aunt Madge and Uncle Bert for many years. Ella was a wonderful lady, and became part of our family. She kept so many folks alive and well , and much healthier and happier than they would have been without her. Always full of love and life. RIP Ella
