Gail Genevieve (Conran) Casey
Flanders - Gail Genevieve (Conran) Casey, 79, recently of Flanders, NJ passed away on May 14th, 2021 at Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Scotch Plains, NJ. Gail was born on November 9, 1941 in Woodbridge, NJ to the late John and Anna (Rudy) Conran. She lived in Hackettstown, NJ and Long Valley, NJ before moving to Flanders, NJ. Gail had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need. She was a social butterfly who could quickly befriend even a stranger in passing. Her passion in life was the love of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her positive and can-do attitude helped her overcome her many battles with health. She loved going to the movies and out to dinner with family and friends. Her favorite vacation spot was the shore, especially Myrtle Beach.
Gail was known by family and close friends for gifting hand towels for every holiday. If she gifted you a hand towel, you were part of her family.
Some favorite quotes from Mom/Gail/Grammy are:
"In any situation, you do the next best thing."
"Every day is a gift."
"I don't have time for this nonsense Lady Jane."
Gail is survived by her two daughters, Patty Bell and her husband Jim, Mary Ellen Casey-Mocha and her husband Paul; six loving grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Kelly, Christopher, Will, Matt, Amanda, and Daniel; two cherished great-grandchildren, Natalie and Carter; son-in-law John Nitto; niece Terry, great nephew; Sal and by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Cathy Nitto; Jack Casey, the father of her daughters, and by her three siblings, Mary Ann, Harmon and Roland.
Gail's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 10am - 12pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd. (corner of Rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:15pm. Interment will be held privately by Gail's family.
