HELEN OLSEN BOTT AGE: 91 BOONTON Helen Olsen Bott, 91, of Boonton Twp. died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home, Paramus, following a long illness. Born in Kingston, NY, she lived in the Boonton/Boonton Township area since 1924. Mrs. Bott was a salesperson with W.T. Grant Department Store, Parsippany for 10 years before retiring in 1974. She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was a longtime member of the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Boonton Township Fire Department and a friend to many. Her husband, Franklin D. Bott died in 1964. She was also predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Olsen and two sisters, Beatrice Pisarcik and Edith Ewing. She is survived by a son, Franklin J. Bott and his wife, Mary Ann Wentworth of Boonton Township; a daughter, Barbara H. Bott and her husband, Robert L. Jennings, Jr. of Foxburg, PA and four cherished grandchildren, Keith Jennings, Christopher Jennings, Ilka Bott-Wentworth and Clayton Bott-Wentworth. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11th at 10:00 A.M. at the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church, 38 Valley Road, Boonton Township 07005. The interment will follow, with military honors, at the Rockaway Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church at the above address. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
