Our deepest sorrow, to John's family. There are no words of comfort that we can offer. Tracey, you are too young to have lost your wonderful husband. I know you have beautiful memories of John. The both of you loved each other so much. Gabe, and Nate, you will grow to know what an awesome daddy you had. Please God, walk in his footsteps. He was a wonderful example for you to follow. Patti and Larry, you have gone through the ultimate. The pain of losing your son. He was your golden boy. You are blessed to have so many good memories together. Jen, I'm so sorry, you lost the best brother. We are so fortunate to have had your treasure in our life for so long, too. So many wonderful occasions we were so lucky to be a part of. Our sons, Michael and Joseph loved him. From the day your golden boy came to our home until this very day, we felt he was a part of us. So many precious memories. I wish yesterday could have lasted forever. But, thank God, when we go home, we will have forever with John. God be with all of you. Patti and Larry, thank God you can take solace in the beautiful son you both raised. And, that you know how much John loves you. We are so very sorry, Donna Tama

Dear Patti and Larry. There will never be words to say, to express our deep sorrow to you. You have suffered the ultimate. We are so sorry. Tracey, Gabe, and Nate, everyone's hearts are so broken for you. Jen, you lost the best brother, anyone could have. We feel so blessed to have had John be such a big part of our lives. As that little beautiful blond haired boy came to our home, to play with our sons, Michael, and Joseph, the memories began. We immediately started to love him very much. He was your treasure, who you shared with us. We are at a loss. I think back on the days of his childhood, his graduations, his wedding, the birth of his sons, and all of his wonderful successes. Larry and Patti, you raised a golden boy. I look back at his past with our family, and all I can say is I wish our yesterdays, with this amazing, beautiful boy, could have lasted forever. But, I know one day we will all have forever with John. You must take solace that your son, always loved you so much. My sincere sorrow for your tragedy.... Donna and Joe

When you stop to sit and think about it, every group of friends needs one:

One who always laughs whether he made the joke or the joke is about him;

One who is the barometer for normalcy in the room, never judging or questioning, always listening and caring;

One who always accepts you regardless of your flaws, whether you last saw him a day ago or three years ago;

One who celebrates his proudest moments the same way he celebrates his worst moments;

One who leads the morass with the patience of a Saint through the collegial chaos of a fantasy football draft or organizing a golf outing;

One who deals only in candor (exceptions: Talking about the Yankees to a Mets fan, talking about the Giants to a Cowboys fan, his 14th hole of any golf round);

One who always maintains integrity and credibility, even when he should not;

One who uses logic and reason, rarely emotion, to undo a complicated situation;

One you would love to see sitting alone as you walk into a bar, knowing you were in for a couple of hours of intellectual sparring and good drink;

One who could talk about everything from the history of World War II, to Iraq disarmament, to changing his son's diaper to his exemplary round of golf - - always his exemplary round of golf - - all within three minutes;

One who is always substance over form;

One who EVERYBODY admires and in one way or another emulates;

Every group of friends needs one, but not every group of friends is lucky enough to have one. My group of friends was lucky enough to have one.

I will miss this one.

Love you, John.

Rest knowing that your friends will always be there for Tracey and your boys.

Dearest John

I remember when you were a little boy and you would come over to play with Dom and Steven. When it came time to leave I had to push you out the door as you were always so deeply engrossed in watching tv. You grew up to be a great son, husband, father and friend. You will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved you.
