AGE: 94 • Hopatcong

Kenneth A. Murison of Hopatcong passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. He was 94. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia. Kenneth has resided in Hopatcong since 1957. He was a tax auditor for the State of New Jersey before retiring.

A Navy veteran, Kenneth served as a Lt. Junior during World War II. He was the past Grand Knight 2 times of Knights of Columbus, Mt. Arlington. He enjoyed golfing, bingo and was a great New York Mets fan. He was a parishioner, past organist for St. Jude Church in Hopatcong and he was also Senior of the year in 2012.

Beloved husband of Adele (nee Knizewski). Loving step father of Karen Stachnick and Jane Tyska and the late Donald and Gerald Tyska. Dear step grandfather of 4 and step great grandfather of 4. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a prayer service on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. Kenneth's Life Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, October 6 from 4 to 8 pm. Cremation services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude RC, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ 07843. For further information and to share a fond memory please visit www.leberlakeside.com

I can only hope to give back to the world a fraction of the kindness and generosity that my Great Uncle Ken gave to the world throughout his life. You will be missed dearly but will surely live in our hearts and in Heaven for eternity. I will proudly continue to share your first name for the rest of my life.
