Nicholas Fleming Obituary
AGE: 54 • Denville
Nicholas J. Fleming, age 54, of Denville, NJ died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Hospice Dover Campus. Born in Newark, NJ he had resided in Montclair for many years before moving to Denville, NJ twenty years ago. Nicholas was a graduate of the Boston University with a degree in Nuclear Pharmacy. He was a licensed pharmacist in New Jersey, Hawaii, New York, Arkansas and Texas. He had also worked at the Kmart Pharmacy in Denville for many years. Mr. Fleming attended the Calvary Evangelical Church of Essex Fells, NJ.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Nelson J. Fleming and a sister, Gail P. Fleming. Survivors include his mother, Yoshie I. Fleming of Denville, NJ; his two sons, Ian and his wife Baelynn Fleming of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Robert Fleming of Rockaway, NJ; his daughter, Krista Fleming of East Hanover, NJ. Also survived by his granddaughter, Savannah Y. Fleming of Phillipsburg, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 8:30 PM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 1 Baker Ave. (Rt. 46), Dover, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Thursday from 3-5 and 7-8:30 PM. You will always always have a special place in my heart. There are million little things that will always remind me of you. How many times did u tell me to say 'hair', just to have a good laugh and say , 'hey you talk funny'.Condolences to Rob, Ian, Krista and his mom.

Nick was one of the most generous people I have ever met. I did not get to know him long, but will miss him very much, he touched so many lives. God's Blessings to his family and friends.

My prayers and condolences to the entire family. Nicky and I went to school together and were lifeguards together at the pool.Even though I wasn't popular back then he was always kind and treated my like a friend. He will be missed. My God comfort you all.

My deepest sympathies & condolences to the entire Fleming family. Though I hadn't seen him in many years, I have fond memories of growing up in the "neighborhood" with Nick. I can still see him and Major as though it were yesterday...RIP Nicky.

Dear Fleming Family,
It is with heavy heart that I write this. I met Nick about 3 years ago and was very touched by so many things about him, his kindness, generosity of spirit and time, always thinking of how he could contribute to other people and how much he loved to keep learning and exploring, a true Renaissance man. He was so helpful to me as a friend and for my business and when I had to pack up and move my office last year. He was always there, showing up to be supportive, to share a smile and with armloads of optimism.
Words pale to describe the impact that someone has in our lives. I will always remember his humor, love of life, how he spoke of his family, Ian, Robert, Krista and Mom. Two things that stick out for me is 1)how much he was driven to find ways to make the life of others a better place, and 2) how much he wanted to honor his family heritage. He was a rare gem.
I did not know him long enough and am so sad that his time with us was so short. My heart goes out to the whole family.
With fondness. I hope he is at peace and knows that he was much loved and will be much missed.

Nicky was everyones friend. Everytime we spoke it would be for hours on end. I have so many, many memories of him. God Bless his beautiful children and mom. Your work is done here. You will be forever in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, my friend, until we meet again.

Nicky was always one of the kids who was able to fit in any group. Everybody liked him. Prayers of comfort and blessing for Mrs Fleming and the family. May the peace of Christ comfort and bless you during your time of grief.

To the family of Nick. I am so very sorry for your loss of such a good man. I grew up with Nick in school, and lived across the street from him for many years.
