Paul Perkalis Obituary
AGE: 82 • Whippany
Paul M. Perkalis Sr. passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016 in Whippany, NJ. He was 82. Born in Kingston, PA, Paul served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following the war he began a 25 year career as a Sergeant in the Morristown Police Department. After he retired he worked as an auto mechanic. Paul was a devout Catholic and an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed coaching his son in Little League.
He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Margaret who passed in May 2015. He is survived by his son, Paul Perkalis Jr. of Succasunna, NJ, his 2 granddaughters; Kristen and Michelle Perkalis and his great-granddaughter Olivia Grace. Paul is also survived by 2 brothers, Thomas Perkalis of Boonton, NJ and Michael Perkalis of Martha's Vineyard, MA and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:00am at Church of the Assumption in Morristown, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum in Morristown. Hours of visitation will be on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave. Morristown, NJ 07960 (www.doylefh.com). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Paul's memory be made to The Morris Township Fire Department, Station 2 Collinsville, Whippany Rd., Morristown, NJ 07960.

I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was a wonderful man. I remember growing up with him. Going to bowling on Wednesday nights and when I was old enough to drive he would help me with my first car as my Dad was gone by then. He always had a smile and time for me. My thoughts are with you all.
