Paul Robinson Obituary

Paul Robinson

AGE: 68 • Rockaway

Paul Robinson, age 68 of Rockaway, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on January 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born on June 30, 1948 in Milford, MA to the late Charles & Helen (Brennan) Robinson. After graduating from Franklin High School in 1966, Paul enlisted in the US Airforce during the Vietnam conflict and was honorably discharged after 4 years. Following the USAF, he worked for New England Telephone Company then took up farming on Cape Cod for a brief period. In the late 70's, Paul moved to NYC and started his career in the Garment District for over 35 years where he made lifelong friendships. Paul happily retired in January 2015 and enjoyed reconnecting with high school & Air Force buddies and old coworkers. He also enjoyed spending time with his 3 children & dogs, relaxing at his "camp" in the Berkshires and watching his beloved Red Sox & Patriots.

Anyone who spent time with Paul knew the immense pride he took in his children. His legacy will continue to live on in our hearts and souls forever.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, LeeAnn (Togneri) and his 3 loving children, Jana, Sara, and Sam. Also surviving is his older brother and best friend, Charlie and his wife Jan, his sister Patti Warchol, and brother Jim and wife Noreen and brother Tim. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23rd from 4 - 8 pm, with a Funeral Service beginning at 7:30 pm, at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Stephen Ministers of the First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, 35 Church St., Rockaway, NJ 07866 or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Thank you LeeAnn, Janet and Charlie for
"prodding" Paul to attend his 50th Class Reunion last June. Seeing him again after such a time span was a treat and a memory that I will treasure for a long time to come.
My deepest condolences to you and the kids as you deal with this incredible loss.

Paul was a good friend who worked with me when I was C.I.O. at Donnkenny. We kept in touch over the years and I always respected his counsel. He was a kind soul and very much loved his family.

Paul will be deeply missed and leave his mark of humor and kindness with all who knew him. May he rest in peace and I send my sincerest condolences to his family and friends who lost a fine and gentle man.
