Dear Gregory & Family, i've just heard of the passing of your dear mother, i hope these words and prayer will in a small way sooth your grieving hearts .
Do not grieve........., neither sigh nor lament. That nightingale soared upward to the divine rose-garden; that drop returned to the most great ocean of Truth; that foreigner hastened to his native abode; and that ill one found salvation and life eternal.
Why should thou be sad and heartbroken? This separation is temporal; this remoteness and sorrow is counted only by days. Thou shalt find him in the Kingdom of God and thou wilt attain to the everlasting union. Physical companionship is ephemeral, but heavenly association is eternal. it was my great joy to see Ms. Jacobs when I was in BDA a few years ago. She was special to me, a woman of beauty and class! I grew up next door and we were all like family. I so admired Ms. Jacobs for being such a devoted wife and mother and human being. She was a positive influence on my life growing up and my heart is heavy for the loss but am so honored to have known this angel amongst us. She will always be in my thoughts as well as her children and late husband that I consider family. Thank you God for your gift to us by allowing us who know MS Jacobs to have spent time with her. As she sits on the right hand of God in heaven she will rest in beautiful peace!

Long before I had heard of the expression "renaissance woman", I recognised certain attributes of your mother that would qualify her for this designation. She had many talents which served her well in the creative and intellectual pursuits she undertook. Whilst providing a loving and supportive environment in which she raised her family, she showcased her skills as a very popular hair stylist for several years; and she always kept her own hair perfectly styled throughout her life. I remember during the 1950's she and your father kept a neighbourhood grocery store. It was clear even to me as a child that your mother played a very significant role in the successful running of the business. My admiration of your mother increased even more when I observed her singlehandedly undertake a research project which produced very successful results.
My sister Sharon and I want you to know that we have always felt loved by your mother who was a very close friend of our mother; and that we loved her too. we are very saddened by her death and will always hold her memory in our hearts. We pray for God's continued blessings on you and your families at this time.

Gregory, Sharon (Angie), Heather (Toni), Michael and Deborah (Pebbles) - My heart and prayers go out to you having lost my Mom only a year ago. I am remembering the days of our childhood when your Mom made delicious breads, so sweet we would call it cake. The many times we would try and pick loquats,and she would get her 'cherry picker' and hold down the branches for us. So many 'niceties' were shared with the neighbourhood children. Your Mom's desire to keep all the little girls' hairdos looking pretty,became a reality when she became a hairdresser. I can remember her her laugh and see her face light up when she saw her now adult neighbourhood "charges". Those great times are gone, but never forgotten.
May God's presence assist you at this time, and help to carry you through your time of breavement is my prayer.
