Rose Narcise Obituary
Rockaway Borough - Rose D. Narcise died on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 97. Born in Rockaway Borough, she was a lifelong resident before moving to St. Francis Senior Living 5 years ago.
Mrs. Narcise was a Procurement Director at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp. for 40 years prior to retiring. She was a parishioner and founding member of St. Cecilia's Church Rockaway.
Mrs. Narcise was a very devoted mother who loved her family greatly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony W. in 1985 and her son, Anthony P. in 2000,
She is survived by her son, Alex (& Mary) Narcise of Randolph; her sister, Stella Bencel of Bethlehem, PA; three grandchildren: Alex (& Patti) Narcise, Alicia Narcise-Uppal all of Randolph, and Joseph (& Elena) Narcise of Long Valley; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 12:00 pm at St. Cecilia Church, 70 Church St., Rockaway. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. Visiting hours will be held at the Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave, Rockaway just prior to the Mass on Tuesday morning from 10:00 - 11:45a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Narcise's name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)
