Russell Arienta Obituary
AGE: 56 • Parsippany
Russell S. Arienta, entered into eternal life on Monday, April 18, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 56. Russ was a longtime resident of Parsippany. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1972 until being honorably discharged in 1976. Russ was a police officer with the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department in Parsippany for 15 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the NJ State PBA Local 131 and the NJ State PBA Retired Officers Local 600.
Russ was and remains the cherished and loving husband of Diane R. (nee-Palatucci) Arienta; he is also survived by his sons, Stephen Arienta & his wife, Krista & Joseph Battifarano & his wife, Lauren; his daughter, Elaine Beinert and her husband, Andy; his mother, Ellen (nee-Krieger) Arienta; his sister, Kathleen Daye; and his 6 treasured grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. 140 Lexington Avenue, Passaic. Cremation is private. Visiting hours are from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, (973) 887-3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Carol G. Simon Center (www.mmhf.org) or to the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (www.hometeam.org).
