Saverio Berte Obituary
AGE: 71 • Oak Ridge
Saverio "Sal" J. Berte, 72, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Eleanor (Armello) Bert? and Salvatore Berte.
Mr. Berte was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (Monti) in 1998. He is survived by his sons, Saverio J. Berte and his wife Melody of Ohio, Carl Berte of Ohio, Christopher Berte and his wife Tina of Florida; his daughter, Renee R. Owens and her husband John R. Owens of Vernon, NJ; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Kirstie Berte, and Patrick, Jeffrey, Steven and Kathleen Owens; his loving mother, Eleanor Berte; his sisters, Anne Bencivenga and her husband Frank, Rose Glennerster and her husband William; and his brother, Joseph Berte.
Mr. Berte also leaves behind his special friend, Toni Fleming.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 185 Breakneck Road, Highland Lakes, NJ 07422. The interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Loyola House of Retreats, 161 James St., Morristown, NJ 07460.
