Walter L. Grohs, Jr.

AGE: 74 • Roxbury Twp.

Walter L. Grohs, Jr. passed away Sunday October 28 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. He was 74. Born on July 14, 1938 in Irvington to the late Gladys and Walter L., Sr., Walter was a resident of Denville prior to residing in the Landing section of Roxbury Township for more than 25 years. He served in the National Guard and was a self-employed electrician who owned and operated Consolidated Services of Landing. Walter was Past Exhalted Ruler of BPO Elks Lodge #782, Mt. Arlington and a 4th degree Knight for the K of C, Mt. Arlington.

Devoted husband of Patricia (Daly), beloved father of June Cook, Rose Ann Mosey and husband, Paul, Walter L., III, Denise Barny and husband Christopher and the late Patrick and his surviving wife Diane. Adoring grandfather of Amanda Keiser, Nicole Grohs, Sean and Kevin Mosey, Zachary Cook and Brenna, Hanna and Ethan Barny and dear brother of Joann Kimler and husband, Raymond and the late Janet Dix.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Walter's Life Celebration on Thursday November 1 from 4-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing. A Christian Liturgy will be offered Friday November 2 beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Church in Netcong. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in loving memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org.
