Ardath Marie Morfield

Ardath Marie Morfield, 80, passed away peacefully at her home, with family by her side, on October 14, 2025.

Ardath was born in Ellensburg, on June 3rd, 1945, to Samuel Flood and Bonnie Gibson Flood.

She attended the Kittitas Schools and graduated as Valedictorian, class of 1962. After graduation, she worked at a variety of jobs including Morgan Music, and the Photo Shop.

She married Gary Lathrop, and they had two sons. Greg Lathrop, and Jeff Lathrop. They moved to Hermiston where she was employed at R.E.A. They later divorced.

Ardath returned to the valley, where she was employed with the City of Ellensburg, and during this time, she was reacquainted with Jack Morfield. They were married in 1998, and made their home on Reecer Creek Rd, with secondary homes in Desert Aire, Packwood and Arizona. She accompanied Jack, as an asset, on multiple and highly enjoyable travels from Jacks work.

Ardath was also employed with CWU where she retired from, after working many years.

Ardath was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Sam. She is survived by her husband Jack. Her sons, Greg Lathrop and Jeff Lathrop (Renee'). Jacks children, Scot Morfield and Stephanie Morfield. Brother Colin Flood (Linda) 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Nieces and nephews.

Ardy will be forever cherished and forever remembered.

Service will be at the Kittitas Community Church, on October 25, at 11am, with burial following at the IOOF Cemetery at 1 pm.
