Bette McDermott
Elizabeth Ruth McDermott (Bette) passed peacefully on July 3rd 2017 surrounded by her family in Cle Elum, Washington. Bette was just shy of her 96th birthday as she was born July 5, 1921 in Mandan, North Dakota. She most recently lived in Ellensburg, Washington.

Bette lived in Auburn, Washington most of her adult life and worked for the Auburn School District. As a mother of three, she was preceded in death by her husband, Auburn Police Captain Thomas W. McDermott, son Michael McDermott (Jeannie) and son Robert McDermott (Kay). Bette is survived by her daughter, Ramona L. McDermott.

Bette was very proud of her grandsons Timothy McDermott (Marcia), Toby McDermott, Anthony McDermott (Malia) as well as her granddaughters Jennifer Pritchett (Neil), Sara Fulton and Samantha Fulton. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren whom she adored.

She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor in the face of adversity, her love of her family and her "hockey puck" hamburger patties cooked to make sure they were safe to eat.
