Marsha Knudson Obituary

Marsha Knudson
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Marsha Knudson, 72, who unexpectedly died after a brief struggle with cancer on March 21, 2021, in Renton WA.
Marsha was born in Puyallup WA on Feb 8th, 1949. The Knudson family moved to Ellensburg in the Spring of 1949. Marsha grew up and graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1967.
Marsha loved the water and was involved in water ballet and taught swimming lessons. Her favorite place was Hawaii and she spent many vacations there with friends and family. She also loved shopping and shoes.
After attending beauty school, she moved to Seattle and eventually started work in the photofinishing field for Kodak and subsidiaries for many years. She was working at United Marketing and Condominium Management at the time of her death.
Marsha genuinely enjoyed her extended family and loved spending time with them. The Holidays were always at her home. She decorated and everyone chipped in together for amazing feasts and her home was filled with joy and laughter. Over the years her extended family grew with the addition of spouses and children. Every event was held with her loving kindness.
Marsha is preceded in death by her mother Irma Knudson and father Robert Knudson along with her sister Karen Hamilton (Knudson) and brothers Lynn Knudson and Dale Knudson. Marsha is survived by sister-in-law Margaret Knudson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all played an important part in her life.
She is dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
There will be a small family gathering held in Ellensburg at a later date to celebrate Marsha's life.

When Karen and I were in high school and they lived at the mill Marsha being seven years younger than us, was our tag along little sister. She was a delightful little girl. I loved being with the Knudson family! It was a happy place to be.

God be with Marsha and her blessed soul.

Marsha was my roommate with 4 other girls when I was young . Oh the stories I could tell and the memories of fun times. Marsha was always so much fun and always so loving and kind. She was the best hostess . I can close my eyes and still hear her laugh and her chuckle. She will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Marsha's passing. We had so much fun growing up as neighbors in Ellensburg. Marsha was always fun-loving and good natured. She did like the water. When we would go up to Lake Cle Elum, she would stay in the freezing water longer than any of us. You will be missed my friend. Cheryl (Beckett) Probasco
