Mike Watts Obituary

Mike L. Watts
We are sad to announce the passing of Ellensburg resident Michiel Lynden "Mike" Watts. Mike was born on November 15, 1965 in Eugene, Oregon and died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 56.
Mike was a Navy veteran and toured at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Washington; Barbers Point Naval Air Station in Hawaii and Naval Air Base in Lemoore, California. He spent time on the USS Nimitz, USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Kitty Hawk.
You would often find Mike hanging out at the Ellensburg Dog Park throwing a ball for Brooke. He liked to tell jokes, talk for hours, and usually had a Pepsi Big Gulp in hand.
Mike is survived by his children Kyler (27), Ramsey (22), Shianne (18) and Dakota (17) and his granddaughter Opal Watts. He is also survived by his father, Frank Watts; brothers Dan and Steve Watts; his ex-wife Dori Watts and his beloved four-legged best friend, Brooke. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Watts as well as his eldest brother, Dave Watts.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Menastash Grange Hall.
