Morton Davis Obituary

Morton Warren Davis, 98, died Thursday, December 10th, 2009 at the Ray Hickey Hospice Home in Vancouver. He was born in Ellensburg, WA on September 3rd, 1911 to LeGrand and Sadie (Morton) Davis. He married Lorene (Ritchey) in Seattle on August 17th, 1932. They lived in Roslyn, Renton, Montana, Everett. He retired in 1974 from Associated Sand and Gravel of Everett and moved to Port Ludlow. They lived there till 1994. They moved to the Portland/Vancouver area due to health problems.
He loved to dance, travel, fish, trips to Montana and Family Reunions. He restored antique cars, and in later years, he made beautiful latch-hook rugs. He made American Flags (his own pattern) for all the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Morton was preceded in death by his parents, brother, 4 sisters, 1 son, and 1 grandson. He is survived by son, Warren (Arlene) Davis, Alice Davis, daughter-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Vancouver, WA 1101 NE 112th Ave.360-892-6060--Reception following. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg, at a later date.
Contributions may be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice Home--2112 East Mill Plain Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98661 Special thanks to Doina Mirza of Cascade Care Home, Dr. Yan, of Providence, and the Ray Hickey Hospice Home.
