Florence Alice Edwards passed away April 2, 2021 at her residence at the age of 80. She was born May 20, 1940 in Greenwood to the late Vernon L. and Ruby Lee Hendon Hudgins. She was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church and she was a jack of all trades.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary Edwards, Kenny Chandler, John Ferguson, Brianna Russell, Will Huffman, E. J. Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Miller & Staff, Wally Miles, Billy Bennett, Mike Fowler, Harold Cook, Boyd Chandler; special friends, Annie Chandler, Debbie Hester, Michelle Langley, Donna Egerton, Amanda Chandler, Caroline Stanton, Mona Silcox, Joey Starks, Terri Cook, Roxie Garcia. She is survived by sons, Vernon Edwards (Tami) of Cedar Bluff, John Edwards of West Point, Clyde Edwards (Robbie) of West Point; daughters, Evelyn Bennett (Billy) of West Point, Tina Edwards of West Point; sister, Faye Faulkner of Brandon; sister-in-law, Diane Sumner of LA; brother-in-law, Gerl Johnson of Camp Shelby; grandchildren, Dominica Garrett (Michael), Traci Randle (James), Diana Ferguson, John Ferguson (Alisha), Zachary Edwards, Shane Bennett (Angie), Corey Bennett, Josh Norton, Alisha Webb; 17 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; special fur babies, Coco and Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bydge Hudgins, Robert Earl Sumner; sisters, Tommie Johnson, Roady Hudgins, Flora Mae Hudgins, Mirtes Hudgins; nephew, Vernon L. Hudgins.
