Irene Cliett Obituary
Mrs. Irene was born December 9, 1947, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Guy Oliver and Allie Ruth Willingham Vaughn. Mrs. Irene was a very active member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church. Mrs. Irene worked with the Department of Human Services in Clay County for 30 years. Mrs. Irene enjoyed fishing and genealogy. Mrs. Irene married Mike Cliett on November 24, 1966, at Pine Bluff Baptist Church and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2013.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hilton "Butch" Simmons officiating and assisted by Rev. Eddie Brock. Burial will follow in Pine Bluff Cemetery near Mantee.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Jeff Cliett (Donna Stallings) of Mantee; one granddaughter, Abby Cliett of Starkville; one sister, Carol Ann Dendy of Mantee: sister-in-law, Kay Watson Cliett (Paul Clardy) of Montpelier: brother-in-law, Ben E. Cliett (Donna) of Montpelier: a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Paul Amos McGarity of Cedar Bluff.
Pallbearers are Dexter Pate, Alan Grimes, Brad Davis, Rob Roberson, Bennie Borst, and Mike Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Nurses and Staff of Kindred Hospice, and the Church Family of Pine Bluff Baptist Church.
Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Friday, at Calvert Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Pine Bluff Cemetery Fund, c/o Betty McNeel, 7999 Colony Road, Pheba, MS 39755.
