Gloria Joyce Collins, a lifetime Royal Oak resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family early Thursday morning April 15, 2021. Born August 2, 1933 in Clawson, Michigan to Eleanor and Raymond (Ray) Collins. She grew up on Prairie Street in Royal Oak with her sister Laudra and brother Larry. In 1954 she married and is surpassed by Edward (her high school sweetheart), they attended Dondero High School and Hillsdale College together. Gloria loved family gatherings, fishing, and all kinds of arts and crafts. She enjoyed her career as a stenographer at Farmington Hills 44th circuit court for many years before retiring to enjoy every possible minute with her family. Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Sharon (Harold) King, Steve (Jean) Collins, Mike (Pat) Collins-Butters, Leah (Mark) Rainey. Gloria will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren: Brian (Ryan), Dana (Jon), Stephanie (Jared), Derek (Shannon), Chad, Corbin and 11 great grandchildren, Adysen, Abigail, Tayden, Winifred, London, Collins, Loretta (Etta), Emma, Olivia, Amelia and Charlotte.
