I have lost my best friend and soul mate.
His passing has left an emptiness inside me. Larry was the most understanding and loving husband anyone could have ever asked for. Always there whenever needed, expressing his love and devotion to friends and family. It has been a long 7 months without him. You will be missed forever my dear, sweet husband......

Dear Keitha,
I was so sorry to learn of Larry's death. He was a wonderful man, kind, caring and thoughtful. I regret that I did not get to work with him but for a few years. His commitment to education and to Oakland University was exceptional and many many people benefited as a result-including me. I hope that your loving memories of him will help you through the difficult task of mourning.

Having known Larry and Keitha for many years, it was hard and sad for us to hear of Larry's passing. His smile and friendly personality will always be remembered. He added much richness to so many lives, in so many ways. He was remarkable in all he did. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with your family, and we pray that God will give you peace as you remember all the goodness of this man. We send our love.

We knew Larry less than a year but felt he was a lifelong friend. He was gracious, friendly, happy and at ease best describes his effect on people. His personality was genuine and unique. We are certain that he looks down on us and carries his smile for everyone. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Celebrating a life well lived. We have wonderful memories of our grade school years together and we will cherish the memories forever. Keitha, it was so good to see both of you at our high school reunion lake party a few years ago. It had been such a long, long time! Larry's family lived next door to my family's house in West Bloomfield. Larry was always very nice and generous to me and my family. ie; always offering us to use their beautiful pool anytime we wanted, etc... After my father died, and my siblings and I moved out of the house - Larry and Keitha continually looked out for my mother ie; Larry immediately helping my mom with any house repair / maintenance issues, etc... Larry was clearly a selfless, generous, and kind-hearted person that will be missed.

I was saddened to see the obituary in today's Detroit Free Press. Larry was a very dedicated teacher and made and indelible impression upon me during his time at Southfield-Lathrup High School. During my senior year, another student and myself had scheduling difficulty and would not be able to take the Calculus course we desired and needed. Larry graciously offered to privately teach us calculus each day during his break hour. He sacrificed his own personal time on our behalf. As a result, I went on to major in Mathematics at college and used that degree very successfully in the business world. So much so that I am retiring early (at 51 years old) in two weeks. I owe much of my success to him. He will be remembered and missed.
