CALIMAZZO, SANTINA, “SANDY”, of St. Clair Shores, died after a short illness on June 22, 2015. Preceded in death by her loving husband Frank. Devoted mother to Laura (Dennis) Chuhran, Denise Gaines, Celeste (Nicholas) Ellis and Annette (Don) Franklin. Cherished grandmother to Rebecca (Jeff), Elizabeth (Chris), Daniel, Justin (Melissa), Matthew (Ericka), Samuel (Allison), Tara, Tony and Paul. Dear great-grandmother to seven. Also survived by siblings Don (Lynn) Porchia, Olga (Joe) Syrkowski, Ilda (Ron) Pruss and many nieces and nephews. She was passionate about her family and loved her hobby of knitting and donated countless hand knitted items to various charities. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avnue (3 blocks north of 10 Mile Road) St. Clair Shores. Scripture service Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
