Shirley Anna Larsen

1938 - 2025

Shirley Anna (Priewe) Larsen Fort Atkinson, WI - Shirley A. Larsen, 87, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and cherished neighbor and friend whose gentle spirit and steady kindness touched all who knew her.

She dedicated her life to her family and to the well-being of those around her. She was known for her warm heart, her generosity, and her unwavering willingness to help others. Her quiet acts of care, her thoughtful nature, and her constant support will be remembered with deep appreciation.

Shirley was employed at NASCO from 1969 to 1997, filling product orders for 28 years. She was a member of St John's Community Church in Fort Atkinson where she taught Sunday School.

One of sixteen children, Shirley was born on May 8, 1938 to Alfred and Elsie (Krohn) Priewe. Raised by her aunt & uncle, Roy and Irma Gehrke in Fort Atkinson, WI, she grew up with two sisters Marie and Linda, and a brother, Roger.

She is survived by two sons, Brian (Jennie) Larsen of Lodi, and Steven (Shelley) Larsen of Fort Atkinson, grandchildren April, Jared and Troy Larsen.

She is also survived by her brothers Gerald (Donna), Ralph, and Bruce (Sandy) Priewe, and sisters Eunice Helgeson, Marie Brown, and siblings' surviving spouses, Betty (Dick) Priewe, Betty (Gordy) Priewe, Pam (Walter) Priewe, Shirley (Roger) Gehrke, Mary (Donald) Priewe, and Roger (Alice) Cunningham, brother in law Larry (Barb) Larsen, sisters in law, Lois Harr, and Randene (Jim) Wick, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leland of 55 years, parents, brothers Robert (Ethel), Richard, Gordon, Walter, and Donald Priewe and Roger Gehrke, sisters Eleanor Margraf, Inez (Ken) Krause, Dorothy (Ken) McFarland, Mary (Bill) Gaull, Alice Cunningham and Linda Daniels.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
