Audrey Leger Obituary
OPELOUSAS - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Audrey Nell Leger 73, who entered eternal rest, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston TX.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Reverend Jaison Mangalath, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
She leaves to cherish her memory and in God's care her only son, Christopher Craig Leger Sr., his wife, Sharon Leger, their children, Christopher Craig Leger Jr. and Christal Leger all of Houston, TX; three brothers, John E. Leger Sr. (Rose Mae) of Opelousas, LA, Joseph Leger of Seattle, WA and Ferrell Glenn Leger of Morgan City, LA; seven sisters, her twin, Maudry Nell Semien (Manual), Carolyn Berry (Richard) both of Opelousas, LA, Lou Ida Fuselier of Lafayette, LA, Phyllis Savoy, Elvia Jones both of Lake Charles, LA, Elizabeth Leger of Seattle, WA and Shirley Massey (John) of Moss Point, MS; an aunt, Ollie Mae Brown of Oakland, CA; an uncle, Earl Jackson Sr. of Houston, TX; a sister-in-law, Melinda Leger; a brother-in-law, Paul Brown Sr.; Godchildren, John E. Leger Jr. and Charles Fountain Jr. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Audrey "Nanny" will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She now joins in glory with her parents, Jack Leger & Elvie Veazie Leger and her siblings, George Leger, Jack Lionel Leger Jr. and Joyce Mae Brown.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. A Rosary will be recited at 11:30 A.M. by the Ladies Auxiliary Court 8.
