DUSON - A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Elgee Deville, Sr., 81, who passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette
Survivors include his three daughters, Linda Borde and her husband Gus, Juli Tate and Brenda Duplechain Grudil and her husband Phil; five sons, Harold Deville and his wife Cathy, Elgee Deville, Jr., Eric Deville, Tracy Duplechain and his wife Lisa, and Brian Duplechain and his wife Cindy; and eight grandchildren, Deven Deville, Adam Deville, Jesse Johnson, Adam Duplechain, Ben Duplechain, Trey Duplechain, Hayden Duplechain and Matthew Duplechain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther Pitre Deville.

Elgee Deville was a very good friend to my father. They were the same age, neighbors and school mates. They remained friends into adulthood. When we moved away in the mid 50s I never knew what happened to my "Uncle Buddy!"
