Evelyn Chautin Bourque

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held for Evelyn Chautin Bourque at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Burial will follow in the St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery. Father James Brady will conduct the service.

Mrs. Bourque, age 91, a resident of Opelousas, died on her birthday, Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

Evelyn was a member of St. Landry Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her sons, Nelson Bourque and wife, Gloria; Larry Bourque and wife, Pam; Robert Bourque and wife, Lil, all of Opelousas, LA; her daughter, Stella Munnerlyn and husband, Bob, of Port Barre, LA and her sister, Lillian Landry, of Arnaudville, LA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Paul Gervis; her parents, Napoleon Chautin, Jr. and Thodize Robin Chautin and 14 siblings.

Visiting will begin at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
