Marjorie James Obituary
NEW ORLEANS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Starlight Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Marjorie James, 72, who entered eternal rest, Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her residence in New Orleans, LA.
Interment will be in Starlight Baptist Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Mrs. James is survived by her daughter, Eugenia James of Lake Charles, LA; two step-sons, Brian James (Janice) of Atlanta, GA and Wayne James of New Orleans, LA; three brothers, Lloyd Valmont, Sherman Valmont and Wilmond Valmont (Helen) all of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Jeanette Siverand of Lafayette, LA, Jessie Rose Lee of Prairieville, LA, Martha Edwards (James) of Opelousas, LA and Rebecca Jones (Rev. Joseph Jones) of Plaisance, LA; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of other relatives and special friends.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tyre James; parents, Malvin Valmont, Jr. & Rosana Thomas Valmont; two brothers, Raymond Valmont and Louis Valmont.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
