Laura Horton Obituary
Laura was predeceased by her parents Curtis and Marie Tolley, and her brother Drew. She is survived by her sister Patricia and brother Curtis III, her three children; Leslie, Jamie and Katrina, her 8 grandchildren; Jamie Jr, Amanda, Jordan, Alexa, Ariane, Zaine, Matthew and Andres, her 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her family will have a celebration of life held in honor of Laura as opposed to traditional funeral services. They request all of her loved ones to join in celebrating her beautiful life. Location and time is to be determined and will be posted as soon as possible. Flowers can be sent to Laura's daughter, Katrina's house: 7417 Harbor Dr. Rowlett, TX 75088.

Mom I can't believe it's almost a year since you went to be with the Lord. I miss seeing you in your room. I still walk by and expect to see you sitting on your bed watching tv. I miss drinking coffee with you. I love you mom. Until we meet again.

Grandma, You have always been an incredibly strong and resilient woman! This is an understatement of course. You have fought many battles and conquered them all! I'm very happy we reconnected over the last few years. I loved being around you and have always felt your unfailing love for me. You were the first person to hold me and that connection will never leave my heart. Your spunky, ornery personality captured everyone's attention and put them in their place when needed. One of the beloved things about you is that you never turned your back on me. You always kept fighting for me! I love you

Ephesians 6:2-3 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
My mother-in-law was a wonderful, beautiful lady that I honored and respected from the first day I met her until her last day.
I still remember the first day I met my mother-in law. I was nervous but happy to meet her, I remember I was thinking , What I should say? What would she say? Finally she arrived in the Dallas Love Field Airport, As soon as she saw me she said "Hola" "you are pretty" oh my God that made me laugh and relax, and that's how it always was, she always made me laugh with her funny comments and the things she said(especially when she tried to speak spanish)
I appreciate that God has given me the opportunity to read the Bible to her and that she has called on the name of the Lord. I believe that she was saved and now she rests in the Lord! Thank you Lord Jesus for my Mom in law life!!
Blessed to have a funny, beautiful mom in law, hasta pronto beautiful !

Celebrating your 80th birthday with you and your family, was a day that I´ll never forget!!! Lol!!! We laughed, cut up, and told our little "secret jokes"!!! LOL!!! I´m going to sure miss you, Mama Laura. I have a sweet relief in knowing that I´ll see you in the morning.....

I remember when you came to visit for Zaine´s birth. I hadn´t seen you in about 4 years. Alexa and I were so happy to see you and we wanted to go back with you and I remember you said we needed to stay and help our `mommie´ with the new baby. We love you so much. Even as little girls you meant so much to us and always will. I wish I had the pic of the three of us, but I don´t have a lot of pictures, I wish I did. Just the memories

I only had the pleasure of knowing Trina´s mother for a short time. It was a true pleasure spending afternoons chatting and sharing. A little brightness left this earthly plane, but now we know why heaven is beautiful. We hope and pray your memories of time with Laura will ease your heart and sustain you until you all meet again.

I consider myself to be a temporary influence and I mean I
only get brief moments with people, my time with Laura wasn't out fishing or even a movie but we had some delicious pudding while watching card sharks as she told me a few good memories. This part of my life she left the influence and it wasn't temporary, thankyou Ms. Horton for reminding me how precious moments are with the little life we have.

I couldn´t believe Trina still had this drawing. I drew this for you when I was a small girl and it´s funny because all of my good memories from being a girl have you in them. All of our outings and "Affordable Overhead Doors". You helped mold me into the woman I am today from caring for me like a Mother to spoiling me like a Grandma. I thank God I was able to be with you before you left us to go be with Him but I selfishly say I wish I had more time with you. I still had things I needed to say and ask and now I look forward to doing so when I see you again.
