QUICK, Grady Grady Herbert Quick, 60, formerly of Dallas, died at home in Spokane, Wash., on Christmas Day. The child of an ordained minister and an accomplished educator, he developed a deep faith and reverence for learning. He became a devoted Congregational/UCC and Disciples of Christ member and held church leadership positions throughout his life. He loved to tell family and friends the story of his beginning, his parents' tears at their discovery of this unplanned pregnancy. From the instant of his birth, he became the family favorite, which he maintained until his death. His entire life was a testament to love and constancy; his catchphrase with those closest to him was, "I love you more." His greatest devotion was to his wife of 34 years, Mary Nesmith Quick, and to his cherished children, Sarah Maria Quick, of Seattle, and Benjamin John Quick, of Spokane. They were his light and life. Grady attended UT Austin and Texas A&M. He worked for Mary Kay cosmetics, a job and company he dearly loved, for 24 years. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Sarah and Ben, his beloved sisters Jenny Quick, Pocatello, Idaho, and Amy Harvey, of Southlake, Texas, and dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Jo Quick. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
