For many years, June was very active at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish June's memory are beloved husband of 53 years, Jerry McDonald of Jacksonville; sons, Jason McDonald and wife Heather of McKinney and Greg McDonald and wife Tera of Woodville; her sister, Pamela Topletz of Dallas; her grandchildren Ryan McDonald and wife Joanna, and Madeline McDonald. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for June is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville. June battled breast cancer with courage and grace for 9 years, while always putting the needs of others first. The family wishes to thank Hospice of East Texas for their care and concern in her final weeks; and a special thanks to Doctor Su and his staff at Texas Oncology of Tyler. His relentless efforts gave her additional precious time with her family.
