KETCHUM, Laura Laura Frances Ketchum, born February 14, 1955 in Dallas, Texas, left us peacefully early in the morning of October 18, 2021. A graduate of W.T. White High School in Dallas, Laura attended college at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX where she successfully received her university degree in 1977. Upon graduation, she worked as the HR director at Shermco in Dallas for 19 years before taking on a role as an Assistant Vice President of Benefits at Comerica where she worked until retiring in 2019 as Vice President. She earned the prestigious designations of Senior Professional in Human Resources, Certified Compensation Professional, and SHRM Certified Professional along her career path. Laura was a devoted mother, amazing sister, friend, and inspiration to many, dedicating much of her time to her local community. For 13 years, she was a volunteer with senior leadership roles for The HRSouthwest Conference, the premier regional educational and networking event for human resources professionals. In her hometown of Coppell, she devoted 18 years as a volunteer Commissioner on the Board of Adjustment. She was an avid reader, a proud wordsmith, a Disney enthusiast, and a memorably quick wit. Laura was survived by her daughter Allison Arias, son-in-law Anthony Arias, sisters Cindy White and Kennis Ketchum, brother-in-law David White, nieces Ashley White-Jones and Krista White-Arnold and their children Campbell Jones, Celeste Jones and Henry (Hank) Arnold and is preceded in death by her parents, Henry (Hank) Ketchum and Oleta (Jinx) Ketchum. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations in memory of Laura Frances Ketchum be made to the North Texas Food Bank at https://ntfb.org/ or Meals on Wheels at https://www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/. A celebration of Laura's life will be held at Maggiano's Little Italy in NorthPark on Saturday, October 30, from 11am-2pm. She will be deeply, completely, and lovingly missed by so many.

To the family of Miss Laura! My prayers have been with you since learning of Laura's transition from our earthly presence to Eternity. She was an extraordinary force! Always consistently the same passion and compassion for others. I am very thankful that my heavenly father gave me an opportunity to experience life with her the past 12+ years. My prayer is that you have found comfort in the memories of your life with her and the knowledge she is now at peace. Former Comerica Coworker Kim T (Michigan Team)

To Allison, Kennis, Cindy and the extended Ketchum family words can not express the loss we feel of our dear Laura. She was always so kind and considerate. Our friend and 'Disney' buddy will be greatly missed.
