Leonard Carp

1924 - 2016

CARP, Leonard Leonard Carp was born in Jackson MS. to Jennie and Jacob Carp on Oct 19.1924. He passed away on January 8, 2016. He grew up in Picayune, MS and graduated Riverside Military Academy. Leonard attended Cornell University for one year and then served in the US Army for 3 years. After the service he went to Tulane University and graduated with a degree in business administration. He ran the family business in Picayune, MS for 50 years. In 1957 he married the love of his life Pauline and eventually moved to New Orleans where they lived for 40 years. After the advent of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 they moved to Dallas. He is survived by his loving family including wife Pauline, son Joel, daughter in law Susie and his daughter Susan, her husband Joe and his precious grandchildren Samantha, Rachel, Jeffrey, Ally and Harper. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Graveside Services will be at 1pm Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 PM in Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors, Temple Emanu-El, Jewish Family Service of Dallas or the charity of your choice.
