MEDINA, Michael Richard Michael Richard Medina, Owner of DTX Construction and 35-year resident of Irving, TX, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the age of 43. Michael is survived by his father Armando Medina and his mother Hilda Araguz Medina; his daughter, Makayla Renee Medina and her mother, Tanya Barron. Sister Amanda Medina and brother in-law Thomas Pena of Irving, TX; Grandmother, Socorro H. Araguz of McAllen, TX; Nieces, Odessa Ann Barron, Brisa Isis Barron, and Bianca Ivy Barron of Irving, TX; Nephew, Orion Adam Barron of San Antonio. Great nephew Owen Isaiah Jessie of Irving, TX; Close friends Richard & Harley Gonzales, Jorge Jairala & Marco Martinez as well as many other friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oliva and Armando Medina, Sr; Grandfather Guillermo (Willie) Araguz, and Uncles Lorenzo Medina & Carlos Martinez. Michael was born in McAllen, TX on January 26, 1978. He was a family man, who loved spending time with his daughter, hanging out with his friends and laughing and joking with his sister. Michael was incredibly loved by all who crossed paths with him. He loved playing and teasing kids and was quickly called Uncle by all the children he met. He loved barbecuing for his parents & Makayla often. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays and loved playing with his grand-dog Saint. Michael was loving, generous and had a heart of gold. His lighthearted spirit could bring a smile to anyone on their cloudiest of days. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home at 606 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062. Viewing for friends and family on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm with praying of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.
