DODGEN, Robert (Bob) In Dallas, sixty-eight years ago today, Claude and Kathryn Dodgen had their youngest son, Robert. "Bob-o" was brother to Bill and Mary and was trouble from the start. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1972 and translated his love of music into a career servicing stereo equipment; he eventually had his own shop. In his 20s he had a daughter, Chelsea. He later married Karen and they raised their daughter Samantha in Yantis, TX. Yantis became Bob's base for crappie fishing and cross-country Harley trips. He was a Texas-music aficionado and long-suffering Rangers fan. Bob was deeply loving, incredibly stubborn, and loved dirty jokes. We miss him terribly. He is survived by Karen, sister Mary Pratt (David), daughters Chelsea (Justin) and Samantha, and grandsons Henry and Owen.

Still watching for him to drive down my driveway, hop out and immediately start giving us grief with a big smile on his face. Though he tried so hard to be gruff, Bob-O had a heart as big as Texas. Tom and I miss him.
