Emy Jane Jones, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016 with her family by her side.
Emy was born on June 14, 1942 in Bay Shore, New York. She was the daughter of John Alwin and Jane Froehlich. Emy married Lt. JG James Grady Jones in 1961. They lived in Jacksonville, FL where Lt. Jones was stationed as a Navy pilot.
After her husband's untimely death in the line of duty in Vietnam Emy relocated her family to Stamford, CT. She became the owner of Emy Jane Jones Antiques in Darien, CT which she successfully ran for more than 30 years. She also earned her A.S.I.D. certification and was a successful interior designer.
Emy is survived by her daughter, Jane Marjorie Jones of Ridgefield, CT Emy's son, Scott Grady Jones who predeceased her in 2003, her daughter, Patricia Gottesman, and her grandchildren – Rebecca Bradley-Dowd, Taylor Jane Bradley, Jamie Bradley , her late son's children Benjamin Jones and Rachael Jones and Elizabeth Stork and Christian Stork. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren – McKenzie Jones and Jordan Jones, a brother, John Froehlich from Tucson, AZ and a sister, Wendy Froehlich from Stamford, CT.
Services will be private. Donations in Emy's memory can be made to her favorite charity – Heifer International.
